Part 2 of the PSW program at CALC: Out–of–School Co–op Component: (3 credits)
The out–of–school co–op placement provides students with opportunities to:
• work along side qualified staff in a clinical or other healthcare setting
• learn about workplace policies and procedures
• practice and demonstrate skills and knowledge acquired in the in-school courses
• demonstrate organizational and interpersonal skills required in the workplace
• assist clients with active living and the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle
• earn 3 credits towards their secondary school diploma
• Prerequisites: successful completion of TPA3C AND TPO4C
